[The Stranger Forest]

Fascinating piece

THis is a great artistic romp through this kid's world. There's a lot I could say here, but it's probably already been written in a much more complete form by someone with more artistic schooling than myself... I willl say, though, that the translation from tweened to frame-by-frame animation really makes the divide between the tech and forest worlds seem that much greater... like Dorothy stepping out into technicolor Oz, so to speak. Great work, and good luck in your future pursuits!

Excellent animation, particularly the beginning when the scene was being painted. Good choice of song, as well; the best thing about Chrono Cross is the music, and that particular piece is one of my favorites.

...in addition to a colorful, unique style and an interesting way of expressing the Christian creation myth. Once again, the first one created becomes the ruler. Excellent work.

Your best

I've seen your work here and on KOMS, and this is my favorite overall. It has an interesting story, incredible graphics, and is set to one of my (now) favorite songs.

However, the sound quality is a bit low here, quite a bit below what your pieces normally have. I'm not sure why that is, but if it were improved it would make this piece even better than it already is.

I saw this on KOMS first, I didn't know it was even on Newgrounds... I guess it's a small world.

As with all your other Flash work, you have a very unique style and method of telling a story. I particularly like the differences in appearance between the white and black pieces and the differences between the game board world and the setting in which the game was played.

I completely disagree with the last guy, being in Spanish adds even more style and humor to it (note the 10's in each). A couple of the characters consistently cracked me up. My only suggestion is to work on those that don't have many lines... I'm sure in the next few installments they'll all be equally hilarious.

I really think you're right with that suggestion. My problem was that some of my friends didn't have enough time to help me with voices. Roko and El Tico were made by me and another friend so that's why we could work better with them. But I'll really work on that! Thanks for the review!

Excellent work.

Very skillful animation and character design. I look forward to learning each of these characters' stories. My only suggestion is to improve the music... superior animation and crappy sound just don't go well together, and it takes away from the rest of this excellent work.

Now that was a flash. Amazing and weird graphics accompanied by strange music... everything one needs from an experimantal film.

It's great to see some truly original work, and your visual style is superb. The one black spot I saw was that your animation in the first part of the toon was a little sloppy, but the brilliant stuff later on more than made up for it. I'd like to see what the other bizarre characters have up their sleeves for the main character.
